The following "T&E" list serves as both your goal and baseline. You should try to obtain everything on the list, plus anything else specific to your use and certification level.

 Laptop with operating wireless and wired network interface cards (NIC's), CD ROM, OS WIN2000 or higher (EXCLUDING VISTA), with a serial port or USB Adaptor and various utilities installed.

 Digital Camera and associated cable to connect to laptop

 Cell Phone w / charger and/or spare batteries

Network cabling analyzer AND wire mapping tool

Coax cable tester/mapping tool

4', 6', 8' & 10' ladders

All the typical hand tools; standard & phillips screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, etc.

CAT 5/6 data RJ11, RJ12, RJ45, RG6, RG59 connector termination tools

Flashlight

Power drill / driver w/various bits

DC to AC Inverter - vehicle mounted to charge batteries and a portable AC power source to use in the field. It is often necessary to need ac power where no building supply is available.

Pull string

Pull "Fish" Sticks

150' or longer Fish Tape

Punch down tool w / 66, 110 & BIX bit
